Is there the option to receive phone calls via Nuance Audio™ Plus?

Yes. You can receive phone calls directly with Nuance Audio™ Plus, without the need to hold the phone. You can take standard voice calls as well as VoIP calls, such as those made via WhatsApp, Telegram, FaceTime, and similar Apps.

Once phone calls are configured and enabled via settings, incoming calls will stream automatically, allowing you to listen and respond comfortably from the Glasses. It is possible to answer and end calls directly from the mobile phone or via double tap on the Glasses (if this Shortcut is enabled in the Nuance Audio™ App, see FAQ "What are shorcuts and how do I enable them?").

Visit our compatibility page to check if your smartphone supports hands-free phone calls with Nuance Audio™ Plus. Phone calls are only available for iPhone. Not compatible with ASHA or LE Audio (Android).

• If phone calls are configured and enabled, while the Glasses are on and connected to the phone, calls will be streamed via Nuance Audio™ Plus (including incoming call notifications and the call itself)
• Your Glasses can be paired with up to 5 phones, while only one phone can be paired with the App. The phone paired with the App is considered the primary phone and cannot be paired again directly via phone settings
• Pairing a new phone using the App will replace the current primary phone
• The Glasses can be connected to only one mobile phone at a time

How do I turn off the Phone Call feature on Nuance Audio™ Plus?

You can turn off the Phone Call feature, through iPhone settings:

1. Open Settings
2. Go to Accessibility > Hearing Devices >  MFi Hearing Devices
3. Torn the switch toggle off "Stream to left hearing device" to disable phone calls

How do I answer or end a call?

You can answer or end calls either from your smartphone or directly from the Glasses.
To manage calls from the Glasses, first make sure that Shortcuts are enabled: 

1. Open the Nuance Audio™ App on your mobile device
2. Tap the Menu icon in the bottom-right corner of the Home page
2.  Tap "Settings"
3. Tap Shortcuts
4. Turn the Shortcuts toggle on "Doulbe Tap" and "Change Presets"

To answer or end a call, double tap with two fingers on the right temple.

How are the priorities between ambient sounds, calls, and streaming managed?

Once  Phone Calls  are activated, during the call the Glasses prioritize call audio over ambient sound amplification.

Can I use voice assistants (e.g. Siri or Google Assistant) for calls?

Yes, you can use voice assistants for Phone Calls (avialable for iPhone only).

1. Verify that the Phone Calls feature is enabled
2. While wearing the Glasses and with Siri enabled on your iPhone, say “Hey Siri” or press and hold the mobile phone side button (or the Home button on older models) to activate the voice assistant
2. Use the voice command to place a call. The call audio will automatically be routed to the Glasses.
